The Village Wizard offers a range of performances designed to fit different kinds of gatherings and events. From close-up walk-around magic and casual family shows to custom-themed performances and full theatrical experiences, every show is interactive and created with the audience in mind.

The tone varies by design. Family shows are lighthearted, playful, and filled with strange happenings, while séances and darker pieces draw on history and atmosphere for a more mysterious experience.

  • Family Shows

    Your family and friends are gathered in your rumpus room, backyard, or a local park—and in comes the Wizard.

    This is probably my favorite kind of show to perform. Each performance is tailored to the space and the people in it, with a custom length and tone suited to a mixed-age audience. It’s an intimate, relaxed experience designed for homes and other familiar settings.

  • Ice Breakers

    Everyone is wandering around with drinks in their hands looking for someone they know. Along comes the Wizard...

    Invite me to your cocktail social. Think of me as a paid guest who will mix and mingle with your guests and share some magic as I go. This is a fun intimate way to put the magic literally in the hands of your guests while serving as a conversation starter to get the party hopping.

  • Compere

    Dinner is over and the awards ceremony that everyone has been dreading is about to start. Out steps the Wizard.

    Almost every ceremony or public meeting benefits from a calm steady hand on the tiller. With a blend of wry amusement, participatory magic, and necessary gravitas, I can ensure that your staged event goes off as smoothly as possible. Don't worry if something goes wrong backstage or you can't find the honoree at the critical moment. The Wizard will take the stage and keep the audience engaged.

  • Spirit Theater

    The room grows quiet. The lights dim. The Wizard takes his place at the table.

    Master magician Eugene Burger coined the term Spirit Theater to describe an evening that blends history, mystery, and theatrical séance-style demonstrations. Drawing on the world of Victorian spirit mediums, the show explores their methods, their mischief, and the strange manifestations that once convinced entire parlors that they had reached beyond the veil.

    The soothing voice of The Village Wizard guides you through flickering candlelight. Did something just move?

    This is an intimate and eerie experience that blends storytelling, atmosphere, and a willingness to explore what may visit us in the dark. Guests leave whispering about what they saw — and quietly debating what was real.

    Please note: The Village Wizard does not summon specific spirits. This is an evening of mystery, not an attempt to contact Grandma.
